The Fifth (part "b") f Seven Reasons
(IN DETAIL)
5b) From the average of all four of the decrees: We now come to the most important of all reasons numerically why Y2K-day was the day hand-picked by God to reveal the length of the prophetic year so as to unlock the mystery of the prophetic calendar and thus to bring together in meaning all the bible-number patterns. (See other Internet documents for examples of these patterns.) But as I warned, each point would become increasingly more difficult to understand, while at the same time more important. I will try to be brief. (The understanding of this matter [as it relates to Y2K] came to me Dec. 25th, 2000, before and during the Christmas solar eclipse.)There are four possible decrees for the countdown of Daniel's 490 years.
The average of all four decrees is spr. of 490 BC. Hence, the 490th year later would be spr. of 1 BC to spr. of AD 1. This period covers, therefore, the traditional date for the conception, birth, and 40 day cleansing period required by the law (Luke 2:27)---with another 40 days left (cf., Lev. 12:5) to complete the 360 day period. (280 days pregnancy (7 x 40) + 40 days cleansing (8 x 40) = 320 days, + 40 more = 360. (Or, +70 if leap month calculated = 390 days.) As said, the last seven years of the 490-year period is divided into two 3½-year periods of 1260 + 1260 (or, 1290) days length. That is, spr. of 7 BC is 483 years later, and aut. of 4 BC is 486½-years years later. Hence we have the two possible points of Jesus' literal birth/conception. (Actually, spr. of 7 BC was most likely about the time the angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah at the altar to announce that he would have a son who would herald the Messiah [Luke 1:1-25]. Six months later Gabriel appears to Mary to announce her virgin conception of Jesus.) These 3½-year periods are further divided into a "time, times, and a half time" (i.e., one year, two years, and half a year, Dan 7:25, 12:7, 12:4). There is a half year gap between John the Baptist birth and Jesus (Luke 1:26). And king Herod is his wrath sought to kill Jesus by having all babies "2 years old and under" in Bethlehem slain. (The Greek language, as our own, can take "two years old and under" to mean either 'not yet three years old,' or '2 years or less,' hence, 'two or three years' (i.e., "a time and a times"). The only other place the angel Gabriel ever appears is to Daniel in Dan. 8:16 (i.e., the prophecy of the 2300) and 9:21 (i.e., the prophecy of the 490). In Dan. 10:13; 10:21; 12:1 (i.e., the prophecy of the 1290 days) Michael the warrior angel is mentioned. (Gabriel and Michael are the only two angels named in the Bible). The only other places where Michael is mentioned are Jude 1:9 and Rev. 12:7. Both have bearing on this subject, but we zero in on Rev. 12:7. Note what it says in relationship to the events of the birth narrative of Jesus, and with the 1260 of the 490 of Daniel, etc.: (The most important aspects of the text are in red.)1 ¶ And there appeared a great sign in the heavens, a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head, Without having to explain the obvious, there is here a clear parallel between the events of this passage and that of the birth narrative of Jesus and the events described in the book of Daniel. Hence, the prophecy of the 490-years till the coming of the Messiah, speaks not only of the Messiah's coming in ministry at 30 years of age (etc.), but also of His coming into the world at birth. Thus, the 490 BC average date is of great significance. However, how does all this relate to the Y2K date? What is about to be said will use average figures. However, the actual figures will work out as well---I leave that for your own investigation. The four decrees pertaining to the prophecy of the 490 can be grouped into pairs. The first two dates (538 and 519 BC) and the second two dates (458 and 445 BC) are more or less the reissuing of its own decree. The average (i.e., middle) of the first pair amounts to aut. of 529 BC. The average of the second pair of dates is aut. of 452 BC. (Hence, the average of these two pairs remains as spr. of 490 BC.) We ill not here concern ourselves with the exact days since it would be repetitious of the information in 5a. Since the average of the two pairs remains as spr. of 490 BC, therefore in the mirror, 529 BC (average of the first pair) until AD 452 (average of the second pair cast into the mirror) is exactly 490 x 490 years apart---in the mirror. (Remember, the zero is never added when crossing over from BC to AD, therefore add one year.) Consider the following:
There are 77 actual years between these two pairs of dates: (529 BC - 452 BC = 77 years). The number "77" is highly significant because twice in the bible, and in a similar context of forgiving ones brother---this number is used. However, the original Greek for "77 times" can also read as "70 x 7 times" (i.e., 490). Thus, we have the two average decrees of the 490 of Daniel exactly 77 years apart, which itself can mean "490"! Here are the two references: "And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold," (Gen 4:23, 24). "Then Peter came to Him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Until seven times? Jesus said to him, I do not say to you, Until seven times; but, Until seventy times seven," (Matt. 18:21,22, KJV). (NIV, etc. translates it "77 times.") Now compare the above with the prophecy of the 70 x 7 (490) of Daniel: "Seventy weeks (i.e., lit. "sevens") are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy." Hence, the theme of all three passages is the same: The subject is revenge verse forgiveness, and the numbers used are "7" (see Dan. 9:27) as opposed to "77" (or "70 x 7," i.e., 490). The theme, couple with the numbers are unmistakable, yet there is more! As quoted above from Gen. 4:23, there is listed in the descendents of wicked Cain one named Lamech, who is seventh from Adam. He is set in parallel to the righteous Lamech who died 5 years before the Flood. (Lamech was the father of Noah, Gen. 5:28-31). Lamech died at the interesting age of 777 years of age. His great grandson was born 7 years after his death, and two after the flood. (Note: 777 + 7 = 28 squared.) Hence, Lamech's age symbolized the complete measure of grace before the judgment of the flood, and the following seven years signified the continuance of grace in the birth of the first child after the flood. The use of 777 with 7 here is again unmistakable, given what was already said concerning the other (vengeful) Lamech. Now it happens that this righteous Lamech who lived 777 year was born spr. of 3430 BC, which is 490 x 7 till the birth of Jesus! (or, 70 x 7 x 7 = 3430 years), and dovetails with the average date for the decree of the 490 prophecy pegged at spr. of 490 BC! ( More could be said, but we hasten on.)One other person who predominately figures along this same theme and numeric pattern is none other than Jacob. Jacob was born the 14th descendent (generation) from Lamech, (7 x 2 + 14, cf. Luke 3:36). (Recall that Jacob was part of the 4000-year pattern looked at in "4a," and of the 490 x 5 pattern looked at in "5a". In 4a we saw that the 4000-year cycle of the prophetic calendar from Jacob's birth in 2006 BC ended in AD 1995, plus another 6 years to Y2K that in turn accumulates and completes a full 700 leap months, etc. This 700 leap months ties in with Lamech, who lived 777 years. As we have seen and will see, Lamech and Jacob are paired together using the theme number of seven. Moreover, what Jacob is to the second expanding cycle of the 360 calendar [of 4000 years], Lamech is to the second expanding cycle of the lunar [of 6,460 years]. This is of no small importance. We show how later.) Just as Cain sought to kill his brother Abel, so Esau sought to kill his twin brother Jacob for stealing his birthright. Again later, because of Jacob's shortcomings, this cycle of revenge is repeated by his sons towards his favorite son Joseph. In the end of both stories there is reconciliation and forgiveness---with Jacob a key player in both incidents. This story of reconciliation ultimately winds up with Jacob sojourning down to Egypt to see his son Joseph, whom he thought was long dead (spr. of 1876 BC), and where his descendents would remain 430 year till the Exodus in spr. of 1446 BC. (They sojourned down into Egypt to escape the ravages of a 7-year famine.) Now it happens that from the birth of Lamech (3430 BC) until his death in 2653 BC (5 years before the flood) was 777 years, and that another 777 years brings us to spr. of 1876 BC of which we now speak (with 5 years of the 7-year famine remaining)! However, it would be 777 x 7 years from the birth of Lamech to the birth of Jacob in the mirror (less a 3½-year period, i.e., as AD 2006).
As said, Jacob was born in 2006 BC, and his birth is a type of the birth of Christ. But note the following facts to do with his life: He fled for his life to Haran when he was 77 years old. He then worked 7 + 7 years for his two wives. He died at the age of 147 (which is 49 x 3, or 7 x 7 x 3), which was therefore 70 years after he first entered Haran to work for a wife 7 years. He was mourned 70 + 7 days (77) at his death, at which time Jacob's sons sought forgiveness from Joseph (Gen. 50:3, 10, 15-17). From when Jacob entered Haran, until his decedents left Egypt are 483 years, (i.e., 490 less 7 years, etc., etc., according to the prophecy of Daniel 9 : 24-27). (By the way, many take the two wives that he worked for to symbolize the nation of Israel and the Church ("bride") of Jesus. This information helps when interpreting what all these things mean, for much of the interpretation I shall leave up to you.)But how does all this tie in to the average of the four decrees of Daniel's 70 x 7 prophecy? Before we answer this question, let us review: We said that the average of the first pair of decrees is aut. of 529 BC; and the average of the other pair of decrees is aut. 452 BC. We saw that they are exactly 77 years apart as is, but 490 x 2 years apart in the mirror; and that this is significant because of the scriptures to do with reconciliation that uses 77 and 490 alike. We further noted that from these two dates (529 and 452) there are 490 x 3 and 490 x 5 years until Y2K. Moreover, it was pointed out that Jacob's birth also relates to Y2K, and is a type of Christ's birth 2,000 years apart. Also, Jacob fled from his vengeful brother at age 77 where he worked 7 years for his first wife and another 7 for the second. The two great narratives to do with Jacob's life both have to do with this theme of reconciliation verses revenge---and this too is the message that the angel Gabriel brought Daniel in the prophecy of the 70 x 7 years, (which prophecy commences from one, or all, of the said four decrees). Now let us observe the following that will show an inseparable link between the events in Jacobs life (a type of Christ) and the decrees of the prophecy.
The complexity becomes overwhelming when one recalls that from when Jacob was 77 and fled to Haran to work for a wife, until the Exodus (see Hosea 12:12, 13 where the two events are united), there are 483 years! (I.e., 490 less the 7 years of Dan. 9:26). This means from the Exodus until 1915 AD (the mirror of the completion of Jacobs 7 x 2 years of labor) are 480 x 7 years. (Recall the significance of the 480-year cycles in the prophetic calendar where exactly 7 years are accumulated in leap months each 480-year cycle, so that at the end of 7 cycles of 480 there are 7 x 7 (49) years accumulated. Furthermore, 490 years unadjusted amounts to 483 solar years, (490 years x 360 days = 176,400 days, divided by 365.2422 = 483 years), therefore since there are 490 unadjusted prophetic years to the Exodus (1446 BC) from when Jacob served for a wife (1929 BC), and another 490 x 3 unadjusted prophetic years till the traditional birth of Christ (i.e., + and - 3½ years from 1 BC/1AD), hence:
And furthermore, since 490 + 770, and 483 + 777 = 1260, therefore... The point is that the patterns are endless! And we have merely skimmed over those patterns having to do with this one single theme of reconciliation as it relates directly or indirectly to Y2K.
Secondly, and more significantly, the average of all four decrees is 490 BC (hence pointing to Jesus as the fulfillment of Dan. 9, and of Rev. 12), just as the solar year of 365.2421896698 days on Y2K is also the average of the four seasons of the year. (This is the system most scientists use to calculate the solar year.) The theme of the 490 is that of reconciliation, and it speaks of this present age of grace of the which the last 7 years of the full 490 countdown has been frozen in time---so to speak---just as the clocks on Y2K were also frozen, so to speak. And we saw that the two notable figures in the bible that have to do with this theme of reconciliation as it relates to the numbers 490 and 77 are Lamech and Jacob. We saw that the averages of the 4 decrees corresponds with the life and death of Lamech and Jacob (etc.) in a multitude of ways that in turn finds Jan. 1 of AD 2000 (i.e., Y2K) at an important cross-roads in this maze of patterns. Y2K, therefore, was a sign of impending judgment and yet also of the lengthening of the days of mercy (i.e., of the church age). The "sealing up of vision and prophecy" (Dan. 9:24) by completing the revelation into the numbers with the aid of the coordinates given at Y2K is itself a portent of the soon fulfillment of the final part of the prophecy of Dan. 9:24, namely "to anoint the Most Holy." That is, to anoint Jesus the Messiah in the rebuilt Holy Temple. But before this will be the 7-year rule of anti-christ---the pretender to the throne, whom Jesus' brethren, the Jews, will receive until they are reconciled to God through the true Messiah, Jesus. During and after this time will be the 7 + 7 year wedding of the Lamb (Rev. 19:17-19), after the pattern of Jacob. But as for the details of these things---see a good evangelical commentary on this topic. My expectation is that one day the knowledge of these things will be combined with the numbers, which will strengthen one another opening up our knowledge of these mysteries 70 times 7 fold! My hope is that we may all grow up into Him and fulfill the prayer of Eph. 1:15-23. "...may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us..."
